The goal in 2248 is to get to the highest number you can before running out of moves. You will do that by linking and sliding similar numbers together. Two same number is just the minimum, but you can connect more than that. Doing so will allow you to get an even higher number. Though the gameplay is simple, it offers a bit of a challenge. One of the challenges is that the puzzle board is big, which means there are many numbers on the board. Another challenge is that the numbers you’re connecting should be beside each other. The game becomes harder as you progress and start to get higher numbers. You will also have a harder time finding two numbers that are beside each other.

What You Need To Do To Get the Highest in 2248

The gameplay of 2248 is simple and easy to learn. You just click a number and slide it toward the similar number beside it. You can slide it upward, downward, left, right, and even diagonally. The only rule here is that similar numbers should be beside each other for you to connect them. Take note that the numbers are multiples of 2. This means that the number starts at 2 and the next higher number is 4. Putting four together will yield an 8 and so on. It doubles the number as you connect them.

Connecting two 2s in 2248 means you’ll get a 4. As mentioned earlier, connecting more than two numbers will allow you to get a higher number. In this case, if you connect four or more 2, you could get an 8 instead of a 4. This is what you’ll do throughout the game. You need to look for similar numbers beside each other and connect them. Just continue connecting numbers and see how high you can go. The casual puzzle number game will end when there are no more moves available for you to do.
