So, stay a while and check out our guide below for more details.

Vikings War of Clans Strategy Guide for 2022 – Military Buildings

Before we jump into the guide, do take note that there are only five types of military structures in the game. This makes Vikings: War of Clans less complicated and more immersive for all demographics compared to other MMORPG. With that out of the way, let’s proceed to our main topic.

The Watchtower

The first military structure on our list is the Watchtower, which as the name suggests, is a defensive structure for your base. As one of the tallest structures in your base, Watchtowers are effective in intercepting incoming attacks. Depending on the level of your tower, you will also know important details pertaining to the structure of the incoming army thus allowing you to prepare for the incoming attack. With that said, below are the various benefits that you can get when you upgrade your watchtower.

Watchtower Benefits by Level

  • Upgrade your watchtower to levels 1 to 2 will allow you to find out about an incoming invasion.
  • Upgrading to levels 3 to 4 will unlock key information about the attackers.
  • Levels 5 to 6 will enable you to see the remaining time before the attackers arrive.
  • Upgrading your watchtower to level 7 to 8 will display the number of soldiers or warriors participating in the attack
  • Upgrade the tower to levels 9 to 10 will display the type of units participating in the upcoming attack.
  • Upgrading to levels 11 to 12 will provide a rough estimate of the number of units per type.
  • Levels 13 to 14 lets you see if a Hero is participating in the attack.
  • Upgrading your watchtower to levels 15–16 will display the exact number of units participating in the attack.
  • Upgrade the tower to level 17 to 18 will allow you to see the number of bonuses from construction and Knowledge of the enemy.
  • Upgrading your watchtower to level 19 to 20 will display the bonuses from the enemy Hero’s skills.

Level 20 will increase the defensive capability of the tower by 10%. Level 21 will weaken the might or power of the attacking force by 11% adding one percent per level up to 20% by level 31. In addition, the watchtower will also provide you with intel regarding other bases if you are looking for resources in the open map.

The Barracks

One of the most vital military buildings in the game is the barracks. If you have played other city-building MMORPGs, you will know that the barracks are the structure that produces warriors. You can use these warriors for both offensive and defensive maneuvers. The Barracks page contains three tabs. The first tab contains the details pertaining to the level of the barracks and it is also the tab that allows you to upgrade the structure.

The second tab called the troops’ tab contains the six types of troops that you can produce in the game (melee, ranged, killers, cavalry, scouts, and siege troops). The third tab called the training tab contains the details pertaining to the progress of the troop production or training. Barracks will be your main unit production structure so it is highly recommended to keep this structure up-to-date.

The Infirmary

The third military structure is the infirmary. As you may have guessed, the infirmary is where your wounded troops get healed and your heroes resurrected. Similar to the barracks, the infirmary contains three tabs. The first one is the info, the second is called healing (contains details about the healing process), and the third one is resurrection where you can revive soldiers who died outside your base.

The Mead Hall

The Mead Hall is another important military building for your town or base. It allows you to defend your stronghold from enemy attacks and accept reinforcement from your allies. Additionally, you can also hide the troops of your allies in your town the moment you activate the peace treaty. You can upgrade this military structure up to level 31 of which you will need to have 205 million food, 300 million lumber, 155 million iron, 300 million stone, stone quarry level 31, and an influence of 1.9 million at the maximum. The higher the level of the Mead Hall, the more reinforcements you can get.

The Shrine of Odin

The final structure on our list is the Shrine of Odin. This vital military structure allows you to increase the number of troops you send on a march. Marches mean you’re free to explore conquests where you can get additional resources that can help you develop your stronghold. The more marches you can execute, the more resources you can accumulate. Similar to the Mead Hall, the Shrine of Odin has a maximum of 31 levels of which the final level will require 130 million food, 315 million lumber, 255 million iron, 190 million stone, palace level 31, and an influence of 5.1 million.
