If you want to play Ocean Is Home: Survival Island and you want to give yourself a head start, you can follow this guide to help you out. These tips can ensure your survival.

A Quick Guide to Surviving the Island

The main goal of this game is to survive. You can only do that if you know how to craft and build items. Moreover, you need to craft the list of things to survive: knife, stone pickaxe, campfire, well, stone furniture, wooden bench, and two medium inventory boxes. These are all in order. You can also craft a tanning rack for saving some deerskin. At Level 6, you must craft the things you need to survive, which are mentioned above. At Level 13, you must craft a gun, so you need to gather 200X metal ore and sulfur ore for bullets.

For Level 17, you can craft a garden bed and complete your house foundation from more than 20x foundation. At Level 23, you have to complete your first floor with a 40x foundation. Also, create a Power Generator and a Big First-Aid Kit for storage of food or water during emergencies. At this stage, you can now deal with zombies in Zombie Base.

These are just a quick overview of what you will be facing when you start playing Ocean Is Home: Survival Island. But once you play it, you’ll be faced with more challenges.

General Tips & Tricks You Should Remember

Getting stuck on an island with no electricity means you will need to use a light torch or light a fire at all times. If you do so to get a better vision range, then it’s highly recommended not to use it too much so you can save more cloth. For you to see more clearly, just increase the brightness of the device you’re playing.

Another tip is not to confront a wild boar. The most efficient way of killing a wild boar or a bear is to use a gun instead. When they manage to hurt you, you will lose health and won’t regenerate. So, you will need to use the first-aid kit and bandages. Ultimately, it’s best to avoid hurting yourself, such as jumping from a high point because you will lose 50 health points.

Another quick tip that’s very important is to never go to the Mutant base because it’s not worth it. They will only give you two metal fragments that have 2000 health. So if you plan to do so, you will need a lot of ammo for you to come back alive.

Mining Tricks You Might Want to Know

Before mining, you need to remember that your mining tools will expire. So if you find that your tools will be about to expire soon but you want to go and mine, craft new tools first. Also, don’t make tools that consume resources that you often use when they’re going to expire because it will take a long time before you can gather them again.

When you’re ready to mine and you want a vast amount of the same item, the trick is to mine them first. For example, mining a metal ore. You need to collect the item all first, then move away from the area. Once you go back, the metal ore will automatically regenerate. But it won’t restore if you stay in the place. That’s why you must move away first.

You also need to make sure to save the game so that it won’t restart again and you won’t lose your items. Change the time and date on your device’s setting so the game will regenerate all things again. Sometimes it takes three days, sometimes a month if it’s charcoal. Moreover, don’t turn the time back to the present because you won’t be able to craft things. Instead, use Respawn.

Build Your House on Hornet Island

When you plan to build a house, make sure to build it on Hornet Island because you will find more resources here. Since it’s a large island, you can find plenty of resources that you can use to craft glass, metal, and sulfur. You can also find charcoal and clay, which you can use as a foundation for your home. However, you can only find sulfur and silicone on the small island.

The small island is also known as the Farmers Island, where you can also harvest wood. It’s different from stone because when you harvest timber, the tree will regenerate again after you mine it. So if you choose two trees to mine, these have to be near your house, so you don’t have to leave and go far away. That way, it will be easier for you to mine wood and craft at the same time.

Get to Know the Respawn Button

You can find the Respawn button at the top-left corner of the screen. It will bring you back to your first position either on Hornet Island or Farmers Island when you tap it. So if you are in danger, just tap Respawn so you can get away from trouble. It saves you time and five cans of oil. Moreover, the button’s cooldown is 120 seconds, and you can’t use it when you’re near the airport, village, or zombie base. But you can use it at gas stations, underwater, or oil wells.
