Punishing Gray Raven Beginner S Guide

One of the newest action RPGs that you can play right now is Punishing: Gray Raven. It’s an action game published by Kuro Technology (Hong Kong) Co., Limited. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans are close to being extinct. The remaining humans are driven out of Earth by a robotic army called the Corrupted. They’re controlled by a biochemical virus known as The Punishing. The virus has one objective, and that is to eradicate all humans.

But all is not lost since humans found a way to fight back and that is with the help of cyborgs known as Constructs. In this game, you will play the role of the commander of Gray Raven, a special ops team that’s tasked to lead the mission in reclaiming Earth. As the commander, it’s your job to assemble a powerful team of Constructs and then control them into battle. It’s an exciting sci-fi game that you will definitely enjoy playing.

However, the game can be a bit overwhelming to play, especially for beginners. There are too many things to consider so it’s not going to be easy to get a good start with. To help you with that, this article will be a Punishing: Gray Raven guide and provide beginner tips.

You don’t have to worry about learning the basics of Punishing: Gray Raven since the game features a tutorial. It will teach you the gameplay, including the battle sequence, so make sure you pay attention to it. After that is where things become confusing. But don’t fret since we’ll provide tips to help you get started properly.

Be Familiar with the Constructs

The most important thing that you need to do first in this game after the tutorial is to learn about the Constructs. They’re the characters that you will summon and use during the battle. There are many different and unique Constructs available in the game but you will only use 3 during the battle. You must be familiar with the basics about them to help you in forming your team.

All Constructs will fall in 1 of the 3 categories—Attacker, Tank, and Support. Constructs also fall under 4 elemental damage—Thunder, Dark, Fire, and Physical. The attacker is the character whose main purpose is to deal damage to enemies. The attacker Constructs are the ones who can deal the highest damage in the game. Support characters can provide buffs and heals to the team. They may not deal tons of damage, but they can help in strengthening the team and providing some emergency heals.

The tanks also don’t deal tons of damage. But they exchange all that with more defense and health. Their primary role is to soak in the burst damage that enemies give since they can survive it. It’s important that you’re aware of this so that you can form a team that properly compliments each other.

Try to Complete All Quests & Missions

Punishing: Gray Raven will have different quests, objectives, and missions available in the game. It’s important that you try to complete all of these quests. Not only do these quests and missions help you progress in the game, but they also provide awesome rewards and bonuses. These rewards and bonuses will be a big help in developing your Constructs and getting weapons and gear.

It’s also worth noting that some of these quests and missions are available only in the beginning, as the Rookie Missions. There are also quests that are available for a limited time only, so take advantage of them. Of course, for the recurring missions, there’s the Daily and Weekly Mission. They’re fairly simple and easy to complete. It won’t take a lot of your time, so make sure you complete them to get rewards.

Use In-Game Currency Wisely

There are 3 types of currencies available in the game, Premium, Pulling, and Rainbow. The most important would be the Premium currency or the black cards. This is because the black cards are what you use for summoning Constructs. You can purchase them using real money or you can get them from the daily and weekly missions. Black cards can also be used for replenishing stamina, but that’s an inefficient way of using it.

It’s better to save them for summoning. Once you have 15,000 black cards, you will be able to purchase a new S rank character. This means that it’s possible for you to get all the Constructs in the game if you properly spend your black cards.

The Pulling currency consists of several different cards that players can use to pull out banners. The red cards will allow you to pull starter weapons while the blue cards represent the self-select banner. Yellow cards are what you’ll use for the rotational banner, compositor banner, and event banners. The Rainbow currency is used for getting skins, effect bundles, and other items. They can also be acquired by using real money.

Developing Constructs

When you develop Constructs, there are 4 things that you need to do—Upgrade, Promote, Evolve, and Skills. The upgrade is where you level up characters and it uses Exp pods. Leveling them up also increases their stats, making them stronger. Promote is where you can permanently increase character stats while also adding a white star to their rank. A star is added whenever you promote them.

Evolve is where you permanently increase a character’s rank and elevate their potential. You will need to have the needed character’s shard to evolve them. And lastly, Constructs have skills and you can use the Cogs to assign skill points to certain skills. This will make them more effective during battle. It’s important you focus on developing the Constructs that you’ll use constantly. This will allow you to maximize your resources.

Punishing: Gray Raven is a fun and exciting game. Though it can be a bit overwhelming to play in the beginning, the tips provided here will help you properly start the game and progress faster.
