If you’re looking for a fun and exciting game to play with your friends, check out Alias. It’s a casual board game where participants will try to guess what the word is being asked. It’s like a game of charades, except you can talk here and try to explain what the word possibly is without saying the word itself.Let’s talk more about the gameplay of Alias to know how the game works
Choose Your Category & Decide on the Different Themes & Levels
Alias is a fun board game where everyone is works in teams. The goal is simple: for the players to explain the word without saying it outright. The other players on your team try to guess the word, and the one explaining gets the point for every correct word. What’s great is that you won’t just guess any random word. The words the game will flash from your chosen theme or category.
Alias features many different themes for you to choose from when setting up the game. The words players must explain will come from the chosen theme. One way to ensure everything is fair is to choose a theme that all players know. In this way, it won’t be hard for them to explain what the word is.
How To Play Alias
Alias is not a typical game since it’s a game that you can only play when you’re together with other people. This is because you’d all use the same device for the game. The gameplay is simple; you’ll set up how many teams there will be in the game. Then you assign the names provided to a team. Once done, you customize the game setup, like how many points a team needs to win, the game mechanics, and so on.
The last thing you’ll do before playing is to choose your category. After that’s done, it’s time to play, and the name of the team that appears is the one that goes first. The goal is to reach the target points first. And to do that, you should explain the words that appear properly for the other players on your team to guess it. You score a point whenever there’s a correct guess. Your team can choose to skip, but there will be consequences.
You try to score as many points as you can during the duration of your turn in Alias. In the game, you move the word to the correct tab if it’s a correct guess and to the skip tab if it’s a skip. Once your team is done, the game moves to the next team, and you pass the device to them.
