You will try to convert your opponent’s colored piece to the same one as yours.

Both players will take turns in making moves in Dr. Reversi. The match ends when all boards are occupied and the winner is the colored piece that occupies the majority of the board. The gameplay looks easy, but it will require proper strategizing and tactics for you to win in the end. Just because you’re winning early doesn’t mean your opponent won’t have a chance in the end. One right move can quickly change the colored pieces on the board and switch the majority.

Winning the Othello Match in Dr. Reversi Online

As discussed earlier, the gameplay of Dr. Reversi online is simple and easy to learn. Both players will control either white or black pieces and the game will start with two pieces from each color. To convert the opposing-colored piece, you just need to sandwich it with your colored piece. It can be above, below, left, right, or even diagonally. As long as your opponent’s colored piece is sandwiched between your piece, they’ll switch colors.

What’s interesting here is that you can convert many pieces to your color, as long as they’re in between two of your pieces. Your opponent can also do the same and it’s where the challenge and turnaround can happen. It’s why all it takes is one right move and the situation can be reversed. Dr. Reversi provides assistance in that it will show you the spaces you can put your colored piece on. Just make sure you think ahead when you do this to avoid setting yourself up for a trap later on.

One tip that can help you win is to make sure you occupy most of the spaces on the sides and corners. Try to set it up in a way where you’ll be the one to place your piece on the sides and corners of the board. It lessens the reversal opportunity your opponent will have towards the end.
