A simple and relaxing, yet challenging game with harmonic sounds and colors. Polyforge is a casual arcade game by ImpactBlue Studios where you’re given the simple goal of forging crystals of different shapes and sizes. What you’ll enjoy about the game is that striking the crystals is like playing the piano. If you time your strikes, you can create a harmonious sound while fully forging the sides of the crystals in Polyforge.
The keyword here is timing, which is not easy to do. Let’s discuss further the gameplay of Polyforge, so you can see how simple but challenging the game is to play. Let’s also look at the features this game has to offer.
Strike Crystal’s Sides in Polyforge
Your objective in Polyforge is to forge all the crystals fully. Therefore, you must cover all of their sides without leaving any space. It’s a simple task but not easy to pull off. You’ll be forging different shapes of crystals that are spinning moderately. And if you think that’s still not hard enough, you also can’t hit a side that’s already forged.
So this means that you need to time your strike properly so you’ll only hit the area that’s not yet forged. It sounds easy but it isn’t. You have to account for how fast the crystal spins and the size of the space left in Polyforge. A bigger space will be easier to hit compared to a small one. It’s why Polyforge is a game that’s simple but challenging to play.
How to Play Polyforge
You will have a crystal spinning counterclockwise and your forge point spinning clockwise. It will already provide a challenge to hit the sides only once to completely forge the crystal. To hit the sides, you just tap on the screen and that will shoot your forge. One Polyforge technique that you can do is to time the speed at which you shoot.
If you do this perfectly, you can fill all the sides in just one rotation. The beauty of that is you’ll also produce harmonious piano sounds. This Polyforge technique won’t be easy to pull off. You’d likely have to practice a lot to do it. The difficulty to pull it off will depend on the shape of the crystal. If you’ll have to fill more sides, it’s harder to use the technique. But it would be cool to pull it off consistently in Polyforge, at least for the piano sounds.
